Why You Need to Stop Looking for a Quick Fix

Why You Need to Stop Looking for a Quick Fix

Turning your eating habits around can seem like a daunting task. Trust me. I’ve been there. That voice in the back of your head that says, “I’m going to eat healthy this week!” but a day later, our minds flood with excuses like, “I don’t have the time”, “I don’t have the money”, “healthy food doesn’t taste good” or “this is too hard”.

So then what? We look for a quick fix like a juice cleanse, diet pills or some other completely unsustainable diet. But quick fixes are just that - quick and temporary. Sure you might drop a few pounds and feel great but are you going to be able to sustain these habits in the long run? Probably not.

So here is the cold hard truth: There is no such thing as a quick fix.

There is no special pill, no special diet, and no special workout DVD that is going to do it for you. If you don’t have healthy eating habits, nothing else matters.

In order to look and feel your best, you need to make healthy choices day in and day out, time and time again. Does this mean you can never have pizza and french fries ever again? Nope. It means you find a way to balance the good with the not-so-good so that you can live your best life. And what’s the alternative to not developing healthy habits? Go through life thinking about making changes but not following through, all the while feeling mediocre? Nah. A’int no one got time for that merry-go-round.

Permanent results come from permanent changes in your diet and lifestyle. It is that simple. So quit looking for an easy way out when the truth is right in front of you. Yes, turning your eating habits around can seem like such a daunting task. But we are here to change that. It may be hard in the beginning, but once you get a taste of how good your body is meant to look and feel, you won’t ever look back.
