You’ve invested the time. You’ve been engaging, liking and posting non-stop. But still, there seems to be no change in your sales. In fact, you’re not sure that you’ve even converted one social media followers into a paying client.

What gives?

The world of social media is a complex one, but it’s also an avenue that can bring big-time sales when used correctly. In fact, many of our That Clean Life members rely on Instagram as their main source of clients. Here are three things you can do right now to ensure you’re turning your long-time followers into long-time clients.

1. Create Your Social Media Content with Intention

Are you posting on social media because you feel like you have to? When you post out of obligation, you're not posting with purpose or intention. This results in content that isn’t valuable and isn’t serving you or your business.

Before creating or posting content on social media, ask yourself these questions:

  • Does my content highlight my business?
  • Does my content give potential clients a window into the work I’m doing?
  • Does my content display the value that I bring to my clients’ lives?

If the answer is no, you may want to rethink your approach. Consider sharing a post that highlights how you help clients or a post that explains how awesome your new lead magnet is and how to download it.

2. Speak Directly to Your Ideal Clients

If your social media community is currently made up of fellow health practitioners and few ideal clients, it’s going to be much more difficult to drive sales. It’s up to you to curate a community of people who need your services; people who you can serve!

Engaging with your ideal audience is the single best way to grow. Create real content by telling stories. This will help your audience connect with you and get to know, like and trust you. Let them in behind the scenes of your day-to-day. Turn the camera around so they can see your face. Create unpolished stories so they understand that you’re a real person!

Leaving comments, responding to DMs and liking content from your ideal audience is crucial to being seen and discovered. They will be encouraged by your engagement, come to see your content, and stay if it speaks to them.

Set aside time every week to engage with people on social media who are your ideal clients. Look through hashtags or tagged photos to find these people organically and engage with them in an authentic way.

3. Get Your Social Media Followers Onto Your Email List

The 'know, like and trust factor' is key to driving sales. A person needs to know what you’re all about, like who you are and what you’re offering, and trust that you can help solve their problems. Social media is a great place to help your ideal clients get to know, like and trust you!

One of the best ways to build your know, like and trust factor is to get your social media followers onto your mailing list. To do this, offer them something valuable to download in exchange for their email address, like a meal plan or a recipe book related to your niche. We call this a lead magnet and teach you how to create one here.

Once your ideal clients are on your mailing list, you can continue to build the relationship by providing even more value. A great way to do this is by sending out a regular newsletter. This will continue to nurture your leads so that when you announce your next service or program, they will be primed to buy.

Creating social media content with intention, speaking to your ideal client and getting social media followers onto your email list. These three actions can have a massive impact on your business all through the power of social media. It’s easy to get caught up in the hustle and wonder if your content is having an impact, but by implementing these three things, you will be attracting ideal clients and converting them into paying customers with ease.
