Not only is watermelon a delicious low-calorie treat, it also contains antioxidants as well as electrolytes to help keep you hydrated in humid summer weather. We did the research to find out the best way to pick, store and freeze our favorite summer produce, including watermelon. Now we're showing you all the crazy (and insanely easy) ways your clients can enjoy watermelon all summer long.
1. Turn it into a cake.
Trim your watermelon into the shape of a cake, slather it in frosting and top it with fruits and chopped nuts. Ta da! The easiest, most refreshing cake you'll enjoy this summer. Here's exactly how to make a watermelon cake.
2. Freeze them into ice cubes.
If you love fruit-infused water, you'll love this one. Cut your watermelon into chunks and freeze them to use as ice cubes. They'll keep your drink cold and release that sweet, subtle flavour we all know and love.

3. Dip it in dark chocolate and sprinkle sea salt.
This one you just have to try to understand. Make sure to pat your watermelon slices dry before dipping into the melted dark chocolate for better adherence. Sprinkle with sea salt immediately and let them set in the fridge.

4. Drink your watermelon.
Cool down and stay hydrated with a glass of our Watermelon and Mint Agua Fresca. Literally only THREE ingredients = watermelon chunks + water + maple syrup. Oh, and if a little vodka gets in there too, we won't tell :)
5. Add watermelon to your salad.
For a light and refreshing appetizer, we highly recommend trying a watermelon salad recipe. Toss your watermelon chunks with cucumber, mint and feta for the perfect balance of sweet and salty.

7. Blend it into a soup.
There's really nothing easier than throwing all your ingredients into a blender and transferring it to a bowl. This Tomato Watermelon Gazpacho has got all the summer flavors going on and it's just too easy to make.

8. Grill it over the barbecue.
Crazy! I know. Grilling watermelon actually brings out a really nice smoky and savory element that transforms it into the perfect appetizer. Add it to that salad or soup we showed you already, or simply brush on some lime juice with a sprinkle of cilantro and sea salt. You can even spike it with a little tequila ;)

9. Make watermelon popsicles.
Add watermelon to your blender and puree until smooth. Pour the mixture into a popsicle mould and freeze. You can also make popsicles without a mould! We used 3-ounce paper cups and popsicle sticks from the dollar store and they turned out perfectly!

10. Wow the kids with watermelon pizza.
Let the kids go crazy with this one. Slather on whipped coconut cream, yogurt or melted chocolate, then top with your choice of fruits, herbs, nuts, etc. Slice it like a pizza and enjoy!
