We just released an all-new clean eating program called The Post-Summer Detox Challenge, and oh man, oh man, oh MAN are we ever pumped to run this thing. The program includes a delicious 1-week clean eating meal plan with recipes, an itemized grocery list and a comprehensive guide to prepare!
Starting on Monday, September 21, we will be working through the program as an online group and sharing our progress across social media using the hashtag #thatcleanlife. Here are 10 solid reasons why you should join in on the fun.
1. Stop making excuses and get back on track.
This challenge will force you to make a commitment to eat clean and stick to it. We've set the date and given you the plan so put all excuses aside, commit to the challenge and prove to yourself that you can do it!
2. Take the guesswork out of eating healthy.
There is a lot of noise in the world of health and when you are just starting out, it is hard to know where to begin. When you follow our plan you can be confident you are making healthy decisions.
3. Know EXACTLY what is going into your food.
When we eat out, we often overlook what is going into our food. Sure that salad may seem healthy but do you know how much sugar is in that dressing? The only way to know exactly what is going into your food is to buy clean ingredients and make it yourself!
4. Discover how good your body is meant to feel.
If you have been eating a heavily processed diet, you probably have no idea how good your body is meant to feel! It is not normal to feel bloated, tired, weak and depressed. When you eat clean, you can expect to have better digestion, sleep, energy, concentration, reduce inflammation, feel stronger and happier!
5. Have a positive impact on your friends and family.
Never underestimate the impact your decisions will have on the ones you love the most. This is especially true when it comes to healthy living. When you choose healthier eating habits, you have the power to positively impact your friends and family. So make the commitment and get the whole family on board. Or, if you are living alone, invite a friend or co-worker to join you for the challenge and split up the cooking! Getting others involved will help you stay motivated and accountable.
6. Save time, money and cut down on food waste.
Since we will be giving you an itemized grocery list, you can do your grocery shopping all in one shot. You'll know exactly what you need, which will cut down on your actual time in the store. You will also know exactly what you are making ahead of time so you don’t waste time searching for meal ideas throughout the week.
Food waste is a huge issue right now. Half of all food produced worldwide is wasted. The average U.S. household throws out 474 lbs of food every year! That means 1 in 4 food purchases ends up in the garbage. Not only is this a waste of your hard-earned money but it has a massive impact on our environment. Since we're giving you the meal plan and grocery list, you will only purchase what you actually need, which will save you money and help reduce food waste.
7. Learn how to look and feel your best without dieting.
If you are anything like I used to be, you might associate eating healthy with dieting, starving, depriving and being downright miserable. If you follow our plan, you will learn how wrong this is. At the end of the challenge, you will realize that healthy eating can be simple, fun and delicious!
8. Soak in the support and inspiration from an awesome community.
